Its not in the best looking building, but don’t let that put you off. They have between 6 to 8 real ales on tap every week and it changes. There has obviously been a lot of work done to the interior including a light blonde floor and an English moss green on the walls. For an early Saturday eve it had a good number of people eating very large burgers. I had smoked salmon with, and this was interesting, avocado and dill salsa. Smoked salmon is fairly standard fare. The salsa however was really enjoyable. For a main I ordered grilled swordfish on spinach. What I got was pan fried swordfish with spinach. Having said that I thought it was good. Swordfish can easily be over cooked and get dried out and it was not the case here. The spinach was OK. My critiques are that I thought I had detected a bit of sand in the spinach and the swordfish had a bit of remnant oil from the pan.
I will go back if for nothing else than to try some of the many beers they have.

Here is a link from google. Don’t let the Pimlico Tram fool you, that is clearly old.

The good thing about pigging out in Pimlico is that we are going to try out places we wouldn’t normally go to. However Pimlico isn’t a walk on the wild side so the ‘let’s try somewhere different’ isn’t exactly a dare. Compared to the Intrepid Fox in Soho how scary could this be? Well not at all actually it is a very nice pub. On an early Saturday evening it was busy and I couldn’t help noticing that most of the other diners were going for huge and tasty looking burgers. We dared to be different. My warm pumpkin and mushroom salad was tasty – very big for a starter but I wolfed it all. Then I had a nice tomoatoey pasta dish with very generous mozzarella chunks on top. It was all really nice and I was surprised that MP headed for the wine list rather than the huge selection of exciting looking beers. However he is on a mission to come back to see if there is anything to compare with his favourite tipple, Meantime Beers. Relaxing place and the candles are a nice touch.
